01

Overview

Wario and his crew discover the Form Baton, a device that teaches players to hold and move the Wii Remote in many distinct poses, each paired with a quick microgame. Microgames arrive in fast, accelerating sets hosted by different characters, with a longer, more complex boss microgame capping each stage. Clearing the single-player stages unlocks hotseat multiplayer modes that let a group share one Wii Remote and take turns playing.

02

Why it matters

It is the only mainline WarioWare title on the Wii and one of the first games to lean heavily on the console's motion controls. Its mix of single-player gauntlets and spectator-friendly multiplayer made it a defining launch-era party title for the system.

03

The physical edition

A typical complete copy includes the game disc, a printed manual, and the original cardboard box, though packaging, manuals, and included materials vary by region and language. The box itself differs between North American, European, Japanese, and Australian releases, so the exact edition should be confirmed before approval.

Playing it today

A Wii with a working Wii Remote is all that is needed, and most microgames do not require the Nunchuk attachment. The game plays well as a solo challenge or as a group party game, though some microgames benefit from a bit of open space in front of the player.
