Overview

Players pilot McFur's shuttlecraft through space and lunar surface stages, clearing enemy waves and bosses to free the moons of Cosmolite. The ship starts with a basic cannon and gains special weapons, such as magnets and missiles, by collecting power-ups dropped by enemies. A single-player campaign of fourteen stages is spread across four moons, each ending with a bonus round where extra weapons can be earned by passing through rings.

02

Why it matters

The game was developed in-house by Atari Corporation and launched alongside the Jaguar in North America in 1993, making it one of the console's earliest titles. Its pre-rendered sprites and colorful space backdrops represented an early attempt to give the Jaguar's library a distinct visual identity.

03

The physical edition

A typical complete copy includes the game cartridge, a printed instruction manual, and the retail box with the original cover art. Regional editions can differ in label language, distributor markings, and box styling, so confirm the specific version before listing or purchasing.

04

Playing it today

The cartridge runs on an Atari Jaguar console or Jaguar-compatible hardware, and the game also appeared in the 2022 Atari 50 digital compilation. Controls are standard for a side-scrolling shooter, with a single-player experience that works without additional accessories.
