01

Overview

Two American soldiers advance through late-Vietnam-War environments, taking out enemy soldiers and vehicles with a machine gun and throwable or pickup weapons. The third-person perspective puts the player on the near side of the screen while targets occupy the far side, creating a layered gunfight. Digitized cutscenes and dramatic staging give the game a cinematic war-film feel for its era.

02

Why it matters

It was among the first Neo Geo titles and a pack-in for the MVS system, helping establish the platform’s early identity. Its blend of arcade intensity and stylized war storytelling made it a recognizable early entry point for Neo Geo audiences.

03

The physical edition

A typical complete copy centers on the cartridge and its retail box, often with an instruction manual and any included promotional materials. Regional editions and later re-releases can differ in box art, labeling, and packaging, so confirm the specific edition you are examining rather than assuming every copy is identical.

04

Playing it today

On a Neo Geo AES or compatible system with a standard controller, the game is straightforward to pick up, though its run-and-dodge combat rewards timing. Emulation is another common way to experience the cartridge’s content on modern hardware.
