Overview

Money Puzzle Exchanger tasks players with moving a small character to grab falling coins and place them beside same-value coins so they combine into higher denominations. Five one-yen coins become a five-yen coin, two five-yen coins become a ten-yen coin, and so on up to two five-hundred-yen coins that vanish entirely. Bonus tiles can rank up or erase an entire denomination, adding quick tactical choices to a steadily accelerating coin stream.

02

Why it matters

The game pairs the familiar falling-block structure of Magical Drop and Puzzle Bobble with arithmetic-based coin merging, making it a distinct entry in the mid-1990s puzzle-arcade wave. It also stands out as one of the final titles released by developer Face before the company's bankruptcy.

03

The physical edition

A typical MVS cartridge copy includes the game cartridge and original outer box; some listings also include a printed manual or flyer. Contents can vary by region and by whether the copy was sold as a complete kit, so confirm exactly which items are included before purchasing.

Playing it today

A working Neo Geo MVS board and cabinet or MVS-compatible adapter are needed to play the cartridge. For a non-arcade option, the game was later re-released as part of the Arcade Archives Neo Geo series on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
