Overview
You control a clown who catches and throws back balloons to match three or more of the same color before they pile up and squash you. The series adds a third button that inserts a new row anywhere, plus character-specific attacks in versus play. Adventure Mode replaces the previous board challenge with a route to the Empress, though English versions removed rival opponents and the top CPU difficulty.

Why it matters
It is the final Magical Drop arcade entry and Data East's last arcade game before the company's closure. The third-button row mechanic and varied character attacks remain the series' most complex puzzle layering.
