Overview

Lady Bug brings the insect-themed maze formula to the Intellivision, where the player collects flowers, hearts, and other prizes across a series of layouts. Enemy insects appear from the center of the maze as the level timer runs, and the player can use rotating gates to block their path. The home version also supports single or two-player sessions at several skill levels.

02

Why it matters

The Intellivision cartridge made a lesser-known arcade concept widely available on a popular early console, extending the Pac-Man-style genre with its movable gates. Its place in Coleco's Intellivision catalog makes it a useful reference point for mid-1980s console maze games.

03

The physical edition

A typical complete copy includes the cartridge, the outer box, and the instruction booklet, though packaging details differ by region and edition. North American and European releases used different box art, part numbers, and manual formats, so the specific edition should be identified before comparing listings.

04

Playing it today

The cartridge runs on original Intellivision hardware, or can be played through Intellivision emulation. No controller accessories beyond a standard Intellivision controller are required for single or two-player play.
