01
Overview
One or two soldiers advance through jungles, rivers, and ruins, picking up machine guns, grenades, and rocket launchers along the way. The cartridge also runs on the Atari 7800, making it a dual-system release. It is one of the last titles published for the 2600 during the console's original era.
02
Why it matters
The arcade original defined the run-and-gun formula that shaped countless later shooters. This late-era 2600 conversion is a useful example of how third-party publishers squeezed new arcade-style games out of an aging system.
03
The physical edition
A complete copy typically includes the cartridge in a box with a manual, though exact package contents can differ between regions and print runs. Verify the specific edition, region, and included accessories before buying.
04
Playing it today
The game is straightforward to pick up: one or two players move and shoot through a series of scrolling levels. On original hardware, a working cartridge and controller are all that is needed; emulators on modern devices also run the ROM without extra setup.
