Overview
Horsez places you at Sycamore Academy, where you choose a pony from several breeds and colors and build a weekly schedule around riding disciplines. You balance horse care, cross country, dressage, and showjumping with social activities, shopping, and library study to keep your scores high. Once your horse matures, a foal arrives, adding foal-care and teaching activities to the routine.

Why it matters
The DS version of Horsez came from the same Alexandra Ledermann source material that produced several other 2006 Petz releases, making it a useful reference point for that series' port history. It also shows how early-2000s virtual-pet formulas adapted to the DS, blending daily care tasks with timed discipline mini-games.

The physical edition
A complete copy generally includes the Nintendo DS game card and its printed manual, with packaging that can differ by region and release wave. Box art, inserts, and small promotional items are not guaranteed to be identical across every edition, so check the specific copy you are viewing.

Playing it today
Horsez runs on Nintendo DS hardware and is backward-compatible with Nintendo 3DS systems. As a single-player cartridge game, it does not require online services, though any wireless features are limited to local play.
