Overview

Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team pairs every fighter with a partner, placing up to four combatants on screen in a single bout. The game carries over the Budokai Tenkaichi arena style but adds 1-vs-2 and 2-vs-2 matches that let allies trap opponents together. Single-player modes include a map-based Dragon Walker campaign, a grid-based Battle 100 mode, and standard survival challenges.

02

Why it matters

Tag Team is the first entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi lineage to appear on the PSP, making it a key handheld release in the series. Its two-on-two structure, combined with an expanded Kai-era roster, marked a distinct shift for the franchise on portable hardware.

03

The physical edition

A typical complete copy includes a UMD disc, a printed game case, and a paper instruction manual. Packaging contents and sleeve art can vary by region, so it is worth confirming which edition a listing describes.

04

Playing it today

The UMD runs natively on any PSP model that includes the disc drive, though PSP Go owners must use a compatible drive accessory. Ad-hoc multiplayer works between nearby PSPs but requires a second system and a nearby Wi-Fi connection.
