Overview
Players choose an Origin story that shapes their Warden's background and drives the opening act. Tactical party combat lets you direct up to four companions with distinct roles and abilities. The campaign unfolds across the Ferelden regions and culminates in a siege against an ancient dragon.
02
Why it matters
The title launched the Dragon Age franchise and helped define modern western-style console RPGs. Its emphasis on consequential choices and companion dynamics set expectations for later BioWare RPGs.
03
The physical edition
A typical standard PS3 copy includes a Blu-ray game disc, the original box, and a printed manual. Collector's, Ultimate, and re-release editions exist with different packaging and extra content, so verify the exact edition before purchase.
04
Playing it today
The disc installs to the PS3 hard drive and runs without special setup. It is a single-player campaign best experienced with a controller and patience for long, dialogue-heavy sessions.
