Overview
Designed for ages four to ten, the game presents Dr. Seuss characters—such as the Cat in the Hat and the Grinch—whose heads, torsos, and feet are scrambled on a grid. Players slide pieces into the open space to restore each figure, and higher levels add more pieces, upside-down tiles, and fixed left-to-right ordering. The five difficulty levels scale puzzles from 9 to 25 pieces, with the final level adding a time limit for bonus points.
02
Why it matters
It is one of the ColecoVision catalog's early licensed edutitles, showing how Coleco applied well-known children's characters to a gentle, non-violent puzzle format. Its simple sliding mechanic made it approachable for very young players on a system that otherwise leaned toward action games.
03
The physical edition
A typical complete copy includes the cartridge in its original box with the instruction booklet and any included marketing materials. Because packaging can differ by region and print run, collectors should confirm the specific box artwork, language, and contents of the edition they are evaluating.
04
Playing it today
The game runs on original ColecoVision hardware with a single controller, and it is also playable through well-maintained emulators. Difficulty ramps gradually, so it remains easy to pick up for both children and adult collectors.
