Overview
Doctor Jean-Pierre Lautrec, an archaeologist with a sharp tongue and a soft spot for living treasure, teams up with his assistant Sophie to chase a map to a fortune hidden by Louis XIV. The pair moves through a stylized Paris, decoding clues and entering underground labyrinths filled with traps, locked doors, and guardian spirits. Each labyrinth ends in a taming battle where the Treasure Animatus you collect becomes the tool for the next one.
02
Why it matters
It is a representative early 3DS puzzle title from Konami that leans on the system's stereoscopic display and touch controls as core puzzle mechanics rather than decorative extras. Its Belle Époque Paris setting and ensemble cast give it a distinct identity within the handheld adventure-puzzle niche.
03
The physical edition
A complete copy typically includes the game card in a cardboard box, an instruction booklet, and any printed inserts or stickers specific to that regional release. Packaging art, booklet language, and included inserts vary by region, so the copy you inspect should be matched to the region and edition you expect.
04
Playing it today
The game runs on any original Nintendo 3DS or 3DS XL/LL; it is single-player and does not require online play or a network connection. Progress saves to the card, with space for two save slots, so keeping the card in good condition preserves your saves.
