Overview

Players take the part of soldiers Rick and Brook, sent on a last-ditch mission to stop a malfunctioning military supercomputer from unleashing its android forces. Gameplay moves through large waves of enemies, optional power-ups, and end-of-stage bosses, with a weapon switch that trades unlimited gun fire for limited rockets and grenades. A timed core-bot shield can be picked up from certain enemies, adding a risk-and-reward layer to each level.

Why it matters

Cyber-Lip was one of the first titles to launch the Neo Geo MVS arcade system in 1990, helping define the platform's early identity. Its straightforward run and gun structure and co-op mode made it a familiar sight in arcades and a reference point for later SNK shooters.

03

The physical edition

A typical Neo Geo AES cartridge release includes a game box, the cartridge, and a printed manual; the exact box artwork, language, and included items vary by region. Region-specific packaging, label, and manual contents should be confirmed on the listing before purchase.

04

Playing it today

The game runs on original Neo Geo AES hardware or on widely available emulators, so a playable copy is accessible without hunting down a working console. Co-op play works with a second controller, which is the most natural way to experience the level design.
