Overview
Chip Shot: Super Pro Golf is a 1987 Intellivision cartridge published by INTV. You choose from preset easy or hard courses or build your own from a pool of 99 holes, many based on famous real-world holes. Each shot accounts for club selection, ball speed, hook or slice, wind direction, trees, sand traps, and water hazards, with a dedicated close-up view for putting.
02
Why it matters
It is one of the more complete Intellivision golf experiences and a later INTV-era sports title rather than a Mattel Electronics release. Its course builder and putting view set it apart from simpler golf games on the system.
03
The physical edition
A typical complete US copy includes the original box, a manual, an Intellivision cartridge, and an overlay. Regional editions and reissued or third-party overlays can differ, so edition-specific contents should be confirmed before approval.
04
Playing it today
It runs on the Intellivision console or on compatible emulators. For physical cartridges, check controller port alignment and cart condition before assuming any failure is software-related.
