Overview

Chameleon Twist 2 follows Davy, a chameleon who uses his extensible tongue to swing, grapple, and spit enemies through six linear worlds. The sequel adds a parasol for drifting across gaps and riding updrafts, and lets you choose from four characters who play identically. The run is roughly two hours, the structure is strictly linear, and there is no multiplayer mode.

02

Why it matters

Chameleon Twist 2 is a late N64 release that arrived well after the console's flagship platformers, giving it an overlooked profile in the library. Its tongue mechanic remains one of the more original control schemes on the system, and the game holds up as a compact, focused platforming experience.

03

The physical edition

A typical complete copy includes the cartridge, its original box, and a printed manual; regional editions vary in artwork, language, and box code. Japanese, North American, and European releases carry different product codes and cover art, so collectors should identify the specific regional edition before listing a copy.

04

Playing it today

The game runs on standard N64 hardware and does not require the Expansion Pak. A Controller Pak is needed to save progress; a Rumble Pak is compatible but must be swapped in for the Controller Pak when saving.
