01
Overview
Bachelor Party is a simplified Breakout-style game for the Atari 2600. The player uses a paddle to return a nude male sprite back and forth across the screen. Collisions with nude female sprites remove them from play, while the paddle controls the male sprite's direction.
02
Why it matters
It is one of the adult-oriented Atari 2600 titles that emerged after the initial shock of Custer's Revenge. Its release illustrates how third-party publishers experimented with provocative content during the early 1980s.
03
The physical edition
A typical complete copy includes the original box, manual, and Atari 2600 cartridge. Regional editions may differ in labeling, language, or packaging, so verify the exact edition before purchase.
04
Playing it today
The game is best played on a hardware Atari 2600 console using a paddle controller. Emulators can also run the cartridge, though the original hardware offers the most authentic experience.
