01
Overview
Alpha Protocol casts you as a new recruit in a clandestine agency with wide latitude to run covert operations. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, it blends stealth, combat, and branching dialogue that changes mission outcomes. The PS3 version ships as a single-disk Blu-ray Disc.
02
Why it matters
It stands as one of Obsidian's more experimental forays into third-person action RPGs, blending narrative choice with a reactive city. Its polarized reception at launch and later cult following make it a useful case study in 2010s RPG design.
03
The physical edition
A typical complete copy includes the game disc in a standard PS3 case with a cover and insert. Some editions bundled additional content or manuals, so regional packages vary and are not all identical.
04
Playing it today
The game runs on standard PS3 hardware and expects a single player in a local session. Save files use the standard PlayStation format, so cloud or local saves depend on your console settings.
